Expression

Each of us carries something we rarely say aloud — a feeling, a quality, a force that moves through us. Expression asks participants to name both what they express and what protects them in doing so. These two things are never entirely separate: the shield and the voice orbit each other, inseparable.

Contributions appear as pairs of coloured circles drifting across a sky, each chosen colour and size a reflection of the participant's own sense of scale and feeling. Text winds around each circle's edge, readable only as the pair rotates slowly. As more voices are added, the sky fills — a collective atmosphere made entirely of individual moments of courage.
